The Story:
Vampire bats were integrated into vampire folklore after they were discovered on the South American mainland in the 16th century. There are no vampire bats in Europe, but bats and owls have long been associated with the supernatural and omens, mainly because of their nocturnal habits. The literary Dracula transforms into a bat several times in the novel, and vampire bats themselves are mentioned twice in it.

Made to order & supports a small independent artist (me!). Each illustration is drawn by hand, by me, and then scanned and developed into the awesome shirt design you find here. There is no use of AI, not here, not now, not ever… because what fun would that be??
